Your role will be to shape the future of global trade compliance by transforming complex customs regulations (e.g., Zolltarife) into standardized APIs and machine-readable formats. Collaborate with developers and AI experts to automate compliance workflows using structured data and LLMs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business analysis, system design, data transformation, and AI innovation—especially within the context of international trade and regulatory compliance.
Your Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering, Analysis and Documentation
- Work closely with business stakeholders, global trade compliance specialists, developers, legal researchers and data teams to elicit and define clear, complete, and testable requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and research to understand business objectives and pain points.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FRS), and Use Cases.
- Translate complex business needs into technical requirements, wireframes, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

Design
JSON/XML schemas to unify multi-country customs data (e.g., EU
Zolltarife) into a single API structure.
Define use cases for AI/LLM integration in document automation (e.g., extracting nested tables from PDFs). Collaborate with developers on data pipelines and API specifications. - Document compliance and regulatory requirements in a format suitable for system configuration and automation.
- Translate complex regulatory concepts into clear requirements for technical teams
- Product Testing & Validation
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases to validate features against business and technical requirements.
- Coordinate and perform functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and system validation.
- Complete QA to automate test scenarios where possible and track defects through resolution.
- Participate in go/no-go decisions and provide testing documentation to support production deployment.
- Project & Process Support
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle and facilitate change control processes.
- Maintain clear communication and status updates with project teams and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks that could impact timelines or product quality.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly around generative AI and LLM applications.
- Recommend improvements to existing systems and processes based on data, user feedback, and industry best practices.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to internal knowledge bases and templates.
- LLM Integration & AI-Focused Design
- Define and document requirements for model behavior, prompts, safety constraints, system inputs/outputs, and integration points with enterprise systems.
- Evaluate use cases for LLMs across customer service, document automation, search, summarization, and other business processes.
- Participate in prompt design/testing and provide feedback on model performance in context.

Your experience
- Work in an Agile squad of 8 (developers, data engineers, compliance specialists) using Jira, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Tech Stack: Java 17, Python, SQL, LLM frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain)
- Experience with AI/ML concepts or integrating with LLM-based systems a plus
Must-haves
- 5+ years as a Technical BA in regulated industries (trade, logistics, finance)
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics' or similar.
- Strong understanding of international trade concepts, customs compliance, or regulatory frameworks
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including XML, CSV, and government publications
- Strong BRD/FRS documentation skills
Nice-to-haves
- Basic Java/Python for technical collaboration.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM use cases (e.g., automations, strength and limitations).
- Experience with SQL, JSON, or data transformation tools
